Dragon was created and produced by renowned Final Fantasy series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, with character designs by Akira Toriyama of Dragon Ball fame. The game was released in Japan on December 7, 2006, and in North America on August 28, 2007. Blue Dragon is considered Sakaguchi’s passion project as it was his first game produced since leaving Square Enix. Dragon game was the first Xbox 360 title to make use of multiple discs, spanning three discs in total. The game tells the story of a young boy named Shu and his friends Jiro and Kluke, as they set off to stop an ancient evil that has resurfaced.
Blue Dragon features a unique turn-based battle system in which players can create up to three customizable “shadows” of the character’s appearance.
